“The sandals remind me of the distance I have traveled to sensitize the community about TB”

 

As a community health volunteer, I work with TB sensitization and screening, and refer people with symptoms to the hospital. Sometimes I take them to the hospital myself. I also do contact tracing and provide drug adherence support for patients, and I immunize young children. The sandals remind me of the distance I have traveled to sensitize the community about TB, and they inspire me to continue doing so. The torch was given to me by a friend who feels happy about the work I do. It helps me to go visit households at night.
