I accompanied my rugby team to Maybole today, and spent most of the afternoon with the Nikon and a long lens snapping away like a man posessed.
I had planned a landscape shoot round the trip, and that was to the coast at Turnberry. A quick bimble through the golf course brought me to the shoreline and I pretty quickly saw the shot I wanted.
This isn't it. The shot I originally saw was lacking atmosphere and emotion. The tide was on it's way out - I'd normally prefer it coming in, but gradually the round-ish rock here revealed itself and I got this one shot of it before getting hit with a wave.
I was wet, the camera was wet, and the 0.9 grad I used got all fogged up so I had to retreat and try and sort it.
The ten stop filter came out for a couple of shots, but I think this has the best feeling to it, I'll maybe post another later, but this was the shot of the day. Not bad for a first visit.
Canon Eos 5D, 17-40L, hi-tech filters.
All of my photos are taken as one shot, unless specifically stated otherwise.
If you are going to post an invite to a group, please read my PROFILE first. Thanks.
I will not add my photos to forced comment groups, don't waste your time by posting invites, they will be deleted. Folk keep posting the flashy invites and I keep having to remove them, that and the 'Flickr comment' tool, irritating. Please knock it off, I don't post on here to be irritated - I'll start blocking folk soon. Thanks.
