The Cuillin at Dusk
This was taken at Elgol on my last night on Skye. I had been pottering around for ages looking at things, and doing a few daylight long exposures with my 10 stop ND which came out OK, but in more of a crap postcard OK way than anything else.
I decided to wait for last light to see what would come about, so I found my spot and fished out my Tom Clancy from the camera bag and waited.
Funnily for me, there were other photographers there too (I usually find myself alone most places, which suits me just fine), guys from a photo club in Fife somewhere, sadly for them they left just prior to the cloud bank rolling in and setting the evening off - this was taken after the sun went below the horizon and all the light is basically afterglow / reflection from the clouds.
This was taken from the same area as my other shot similar to this, but personally, I prefer this one.
