Who hosted 3-2-1 Contact in 1980, anyway?

Children's Television Workshop, creators of Sesame Street, realized that their magazine readership and TV viewership of Electric Company were slipping out of their margin so came up with a preteen science magazine, then three months into that run the TV show that gave us "The Bloodhound Gang", 3-2-1 Contact.

This is the inside front cover of issue 4, May 1980, marking the inception of the TV show. And since I was a 'tween at the time, you're darn skippy that I had a thing for Lisa and Trini!
