The World Beyond the Wardrobe

There was a crisp, dry snow under his feet and more snow lying on the branches of the trees. Overhead there was a pale blue sky, the sort of sky one sees on a fine winter day in the morning. Straight ahead of him he saw between the tree trunks the sun, just rising, very red and clear. Everything was perfectly still, as if he were the only living creature in that country.

C.S. Lewis from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

When my sister saw this picture she instantly said that it reminded her of Narnia. So I decided to try to find something from the book to put as the title and the description. And as I was reading I ran across the passage above and was amazed. Because years and years before I was born, C.S. Lewis, had written about this very day, without even knowing it. Every word of it describes it almost exactly.

This is one kind of photo that I have always wanted to take. So it's a big thing for me to be posting it on here. I love mountain pictures that have the reflection in it!
