Water cannon salute for Boeing 787 Dreamliner in South Carolina

    Newer Older

The first 787 Dreamliner, ZA001, arrives in South Carolina to a water cannon greeting.

This is the 787's first visit to Boeing's plant in South Carolina, where major sections of the airplane are built. Those parts are loaded onto a converted 747 called the Dreamlifter (seen on the left side of this picture) and flown to Everett, Wash. for final assembly.
