• Technick brick 1 x 1 with hole and technick 1/2 pin. How you fix it, that's up to you
  • 1 x 1 brick with handle. It rotates on technick 1/2 pin freely
  • Front door hinge concept. I think it's quite clear here. In my Volvo this construction is hidden behind the dashboard and is hardly visible in both - closed and open - conditions
  • Rear door hinge concept
  • This bracket (or whatever you use) is fixed

People been asking me how did I do the door hinging on my Volvo V50. Here is a concept picture of the idea. Please read the notes for better understanding. Please feel free to use this idea. On it's own this system is not very strong, but once you add the side skirts, the doors stay in place when opened pritty well. Dark (bluish) grey parts are actually fragments of doors.

    all that work to hide the hinges on this piece? www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2429c01 or was it to make it open a little easier?
