Crypt Lake Hikers

All the LARGE sizes here:

Yesterday, a bunch of us from our church went on a hike to Crypt Lake in Waterton, Alberta, Canada. Our day started at 5:30am piling into 3 vehicles to make the 1 1/2 drive to Waterton. Once there we boarded a boat for a 15 minute drive across the lake to our hiking starting point.

The Crypt Lake hike is considered one of the best in Canada and for good reason. Its an intermediate hike that takes you past waterfalls, walks along a cliff, through a tunnel in the mountain eventually arriving at beautiful Crypt Lake.

Stopping for rest breaks along the way is to be expected even for the experienced hiker. In this group we had an age spread from 10 to 70 and all made it. This was a once in a lifetime hike for some.

$20 for the 2-way boat ride is the only cost. 2 litres of water is recommended as well as food, camera and really good hiking boots!

3 hours up and 2 1/2 hours will be sore the next day but it is so worth it.
