Birds

Hundred of birds flew over the roof of our rhiad at sunset. They'd come out of the distance in groups of 15 - 30 for about an hour, heading to the center of town.

They were very fast.

If you stood still and got lucky they would pass within grabbing distance (the column in the foreground is part of the roof) Once they got close enough to realise you weren't part of the roof they would quickly change direction to avoid any quick moving attacks, this is what you see here. One diving out of frame to go around me, one putting on the air brakes to gain some altitude and the others making more subtle diversions.
