Geoga Bridge Stream

Goeje Island | South Korea

Geoje Island and Busan just added a $2 billion iconic structure to their skyline: the Geoga Bridge/Tunnel. There are two cable suspension bridges that total 4.5 kilometers, and a 3.7k tunnel that is almost 4k underwater. It's one of the longest and deepest underwater tunnels in the world.

I think you nailed it! Great colours and lines.
  • Colin Roohan 4y

Did you cross process this? The tones are incredible. I cant help but pick on the sticks but they dont break the piece by any means.
  • Simon Bond 4y

    Great photo, nicely composed!

Hahahh...planned to take a shot of this new bridge as well, but it seems quite foggy this couple of weeks, so decided to delay a bit. Is this view taken from the new busan port end or from the geoje end?

    I appreciate your comments guys.
Sean Smith Mohd Kamil I took this from the Geoje side. If you are going by public transport, take bus 31 from Gohyeon station in Geoje City (1,100W; 40min) to Youho village. From there you have to hike up about 20 min.
Edvenchers Yeah, fog, smog, yellow dust...who knows? I think it made this shot better though.
Colin Roohan Thanks. no Xpro here Colin. But I guess you could say I kinda made my own cross process brew: I pushed up the contrast pretty high, added a little color, brought the temp down to cancel out the strong oranges from the street lights (which made the fog pop a little more), threw in a dash of pink tint, some frogs legs, hair from an ajuma on the subway, and viola!

Love this shot. How far is this from say Busan Station. I've heard is a beautiful island and that is quite an impressive way to get it. Nice touch with the ajuma on the subway. I think that's what made it perfect;-)
  • Douglas PRO 4y

Looks great! The light trails really make this image and I like the color/light under the bridge as well.
