Naharia Hospital MRI machine dedication ceremony

On March 1, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein was on hand at Nahariya Hospital in the Western Galilee to dedicate a new MRI machine purchased with funds from The Fellowship’s Guardians of Israel program. The machine is the first of its kind north of Haifa. Prior to its installation, injured citizens from the area were forced to travel long distances to receive an MRI scan. Addressing those in attendance, including Deputy Health Minister Yakov Litzman and Minister for Regional Development Silvan Shalom, Rabbi Eckstein said, “The IFCJ, from its inception, has worked to improve Home Front defense infrastructure in the periphery. When Nahariya and four other cities contacted us with a request to help purchase MRIs for their hospitals, we took up the cause immediately. It is unacceptable that periphery residents should lack the infrastructure enjoyed by residents of Israel’s center. Their blood is no less red, and they have stood strong in recent years in the face of security threats, and deserve the best possible defense.”
