Shell pick 'n' mix, lightly arranged

Along Mealabost beach there is a rocky escarpment which extends into the sea. At low tide it's fully exposed and amongst the seaweed are piles of broken shells. In one or two places the sea hasn't managed to entirely smash the shells and there's this wide selection of colours, patterns and shapes.

Wider view.

Note, July 2015: I have been back to the same spot many times since this shot was taking and I've never seen this many intact beautiful shells in one area again.
