"Three coaches, 200 people, a beautiful forest clearing in a secret location, some of Glasgow's finest DJs and VJs, and a sound and lighting system worthy of them. On top of that, a still intact former hippy dwelling transformed into a chillout area, a tuck shop and refreshments stand serving food, drinks and party balloons, and a big burning bastard of a bonfire to keep us warm through the night."
The above is paraphrased from Vitamins' own description of the party they ran two nights ago. A year in the planning, it was an ambitious project and, at least from my viewpoint, it came off without a hitch. I think my brain may still be addled from the exertions of the night, and I lack the words to do it justice but, in short, I'm struggling to think of a time when I went to a better party.
To Sam, Shaun, Luke, Chris, Cheesy and to all the others who helped make it what it was and whose names I may not know: hats off, for having the gall to imagine such a night and then working hard enough to make a reality. Such ambition is rare.
None of the photographs do it justice either, but this, taken early on in the night as an establishing shot, sets much of the scene.
