New leaves of 'Supplejack' (Ripogonum discolour) - 2 photos

This shrub was quite common along our walk in Coomera. Then I found out it is a slender vine! - looks like shrub when young. Leaves became thick and stiff.

Vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm, and with stems to c. 5 m long.

Common name "Prickly Supplejack" - apparently it became slightly prickly for mature plant.

Endemic to Australia, common in rainforest of QLD, NSW

its own family - Ripogonaceae.

Location: Coomera circuit walking track,

Binna-Burra section Lamington National Park in Queensland, Australia.
