Viopticon Slides, Yellowstone National Park
Hand-colored slides of Yellowstone National Park to be projected with a Viopticon. The Viopticon was manufactured by the Victor Animatograph Company. Introduced in 1912, it was the first portable steriopticon. Two carbon rods in the back were ignited to illuminate the images. Slides are 2.25 x 2.75 inches.

These slides were used by Professor Francis Gevrier Guittard in the History Department at Baylor University.
