M31 (NGC224) Andromeda in hydrogen alpha

I shot 8 hours x 15 minute sub exposures of M31 Andromeda using a Hydrogen Alpha (12nm) filter on the 3rd October with the idea of combining with my color image of M31. However as my RGB image now already has more than enough HII popping out all over I decided to shelve the idea because the end result looks just insane.

Date of Shoot 3rd October 2010

Camera: modified Canon 5D Mark II

32x15 min sub exposures using Astronomik 12nm Ha filter at 800ISO with flat and dark frames.

Scope: TMB130SS F7 Refractor using WO/TMB 2.7" Field Flattener.

Auto-guided with Orion Auto Guider on Stellarvue 10x60

Mount: Mountain Instruments MI-250 (pier mounted)

Image Acquired using Nebulosity II, stacked with Deep Sky Stacker and processed with Photoshop CS3.
