Docked at Miami's downtown rogue port about 1974, "Jim's Dream" gets a rest before taking on new cargo. All engines had been removed, so it was delivered by ocean going tug like a barge. I was always fascinated by this decommissioned LST. "Who was Jim?" I wondered. I thought i would never know, but recently got a note from a guy who knew. Unlike LST 1153, the ships original registration number had been removed. The picture was taken with an antique fold-out Voitlander on Kodak slide film. and professionally digitized for posting on Flickr.
