We are finally back from our Summer Vacation of 2010. We made our own art masterpieces. Saw amazing monoliths rising from the landscape sculpted by the wind thousands of years ago. Walked across the highest suspension bridge in America and drank from pristine streams 12,000 feet above the rest of the world. Listened to the music of the water and caught our own dinner. We talked to the Elk and Mule deer and laughed with the Chipmunks. Howled with the Coyotes and even watched a bear.
We left home and drove 9 hours to Amarillo. While there we visited Cadillac Ranch. We woke up early the next day and made it to Cañon City, Colorado and visited the Royal Gorge for a day. We then traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado for some rest. Woke up the next morning at the base of Pikes Peak and then took a short drive to The Garden of The Gods in Colorado Springs. After that it was on to Rocky Mountain National Park for 5 nights and 6 days of camping, fishing, hiking and communing with nature.
I have over 2300 photos to go through and edit for posting. In the meantime, I hope to catch up with all of you in the process. You guys have been busy judging from the amount of work Flickr shows me.
The above photo is of Chasm Falls located in the heart of RMNP.
