White stork (Explored)

With little to do and nice weather I took the afternoon off to go out and shoot some pictures. On the way home I decided to test my fresh K-3 with a long lens.

The last time I`ve been shooting birds and BIF`s was more than 2 months ago and still with the good ol` K-5. Needless to say I was very curious about the performance of the new camera.

As I walked in the field suddenly 2 white storks appeared very close to me. They were allready flying towards me but I didn`t noticed them because of the high vegetation. Quickly focussed the cam and the AF-c (servo) did it`s thing until I had a clear shot and fired a burst.

At home all five shots were in focus (and that is a major perfomance upgrade over the K5) allthough 1 had motionblur and the other 2 were too close (wingtips cut off)

Really happy with both cam and shot :)
