The shadow of the day

I wanted to pay a visit to the monastery of Santa Catalina (Saint Katherine... more or less), and I finally could get in. The lack of light (it opens from 6pm to 8pm in Autumn) proper of this time of the year made the pictures kind of cold to my likes or, better said, to my intention.

...Until I had to stop the car when I was coming back down the hill, leave the car aside the road and take about 15 different pictures of this sunset.

I'm not quite sure to have captured the beauty of the moment, but I must say there was a couple walking down with their kids, amazed by this sunset and talking about someone they know and how much he (or was it a she?) would love to be there.

And, well, when I was leaving the place, a retired couple stopped there to take pictures with their compact camera. I guess it's one of those moments worth to be there, whatever it takes. It's just as it came out of the camera... coming back to the origins ;-)
