The Texas Engineering Extension Center Product Development Center (TEEX PDC) offers real-world facilities to test and evaluate innovative technologies. TEEX PDC will use a proven process to develop, test and design scenarios to effectively evaluate existing and emerging technologies. TEEX PDC can provide direct access to:

•Disaster City
•Brayton Fire Field
•Forensic Labs
•High Speed Driving Tracks
•Skid Pads
•Fire Range
•UXO Demolition and Minefield

TEEX PDC not only utilizes extensive facilities but also has the subject matter experts to evaluate each technology and identify practical applications. Using subject matter experts in real-life, scenario-based field assessments provide practitioners relevant and operationally oriented end-user perspectives. Armed with this information, developers, innovators and manufacturers can provide better equipment solutions. Targeted efforts during the development process will provide the customer important information regarding pre-production product design.

TEEX will work in conjunction with the customer to design an assessment plan that is focused on the customer’s needs and will provide the most effective evaluation of the product. Engineering support can be made available to assist with test design, data collection/analysis and the development of a concise field assessment report that is scientifically based and customer friendly. The outcome of a field assessment will be to provide significant data so the company can make informed decisions concerning the products final state.
