The Unknown: Kilburn, London
I saw this man in his shiny suit and black briefcase crossing the street. He was in his best spirits and as I came to front him and asked for a portrait, he was more than happy to participate.
His name is John and he’s a pensioner now. Years ago he was a successful businessman and he longs those days, but now he keeps himself busy as he does the counseling here and there. “What’s nicer and more honorable than to help people around” says John.
And that’s not the only thing why he’s so happy today. He’s on his way for an afternoon pint with his friends at his local pub. So many faces to see, so many things to talk about.
After the photoshoot we thanked each other, I added extra thank you for the good spirits he gave me.
Thank you John.
