A Fine Mess

Part of a tangled fishing line with octopus hooks we found -- and detangled -- on Pacifica beach. A number of mollusks and crustaceans and organisms were caught in the multi-hook line, entwined with a plastic bag. We set them free after we cut away the line.

I always carry wire cutters, leather gloves, and protective gloves. Boy, do they help. These repeating-killers are up at the top of the target list. To this day I frequently flash-back to The Graduate "One Word: Plastics". They had to realize how bad it could become.

Kudos to you guys. If everyone picked-up the minimal amount..... you know.
