OK, I must say this is the first thing that has ANYTHING to do with cilantro that I like. I'm one of those people who thinks it tastes like soap and can't understand why anyone would poison their food with it - but it makes for a great photograph!

Funny, Kim. I get it. It was an acquired taste for me. My first experience with it was after moving back to the States and trying it for the first time in Mexican food. I hated it. One day, I turned a corner. I don't know why or how.

Hi Ingrid--Thanks so much for including your photo in Creative Commons! It's the perfect thing to illustrate my new website for the Indoor-Gardener. If you want to see your photo in situ, check it out on the chia herb garden page.

I feel the same way about cilantro. I hated the smell and couldn't even bring myself to taste it. But one day, I found myself liking it. Now I love it so much, I'll even layer a sandwich with lots of it rather than bland boring lettuce. Did you know coriander (cilantro being its leaves) got its name from bedbugs? Good thing I've never been around bedbugs but they're supposed to smell like the unripe seeds, not the ripe ones, which is exactly what the leaves smell like. Hmm...
