World's Largest Moth

Atlas moth is the largest moth in the world. So lucky indeed to have it landed on my palm. Well, the truth is she could no longer fly; her left wing was significantly broken.

I kept her for several hours inside my house. Her stunning appearance, along with the two massive wings became a source of amusement to my niece and nephew.

Late in the afternoon, I released her back into the wild. Despite your unfortunate handicap, I do hope you survive gracefully during your 1-2 weeks of adult life. Godspeed you!
