There was once an interesting discussion on Flickr about exactly who was Fanny Craven. Well, here is the Memorial Hall on Gainsborough's Spital Terrace that was originally named for her.

It was here that Oscar Wilde gave a public lecture on the subject of good taste in home dècor.
