Malham Cove

Malham Cove is a huge (80 metres high) cliff of carboniferous limestone in North Yorkshire. At one time this was a mighty waterfall, considerably higher than Niagra, but due to the nature of the rock, the waters now pass underground. Still a spectacular place to visit, and a magnet for rock climbers.
