it's been my 4th time to Kyoto but this was my first time to visit to Arashiyama.

somehow when i walked inside bamboo street, i wish i could meet some pandas. :P

    Very beautiful! All that bamboo there is a single species, the Moso Bamboo, and likely a bunch of sucker clones from just one or two main plants.

    Arashiyama has the famous bamboo grove on the outskirts of Kyoto but there is another which I discovered last time I was there, it's behind the temple of Kiyomitzudera and to my mind much prettier than the one at Arashiyama.
    You image is highly unusual as I thought that no vehicles were allowed along that narrow path.
    I hope to return again this year. it's strange how some folks seem to think that we should try out new places, I love Kyoto and never tire of it.
