Rainbow Blossom Cake

    Newer Older

A birthday cake for a dear friend. 6" Rainbow cake filled with white chocolate buttercream, drizzled with orange syrup and sugarpasted. I should say she allowed me to cut it when I took it round as she knew how excited I was about "seeing inside"...lol..!!
I have a Rainbow Wedding cake to do later in the year so thought I had better have a practice go....and my first attempt covering a 6" deep cake so a couple of firsts for me.
Thanks to you kind ladies who offered help in covering a cake of this depth....:-))xx

WOW amazing. I've never thought to do anything like that before. My daughter who is 7 absolutely loves rainbows and would love a cake like this. I assume you just add food colour to the mix. What colours did you use as I might need to have a go this for Isobel's birthday in July!

Hi Kelly - Thanks alot. I used from the bottom up - Sugarflairs's Grape Violet, Baby Blue, Party Green, Melon, Tangerine and Red Extra. Hope you have a go for Isobel - Make sure you put a photo on Flickr if you do...Rebecca ....:-))xx
