HOUSE SPARROW

The House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) is a bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. A small bird, it has a typical length of 16 centimetres (6.3 in) and a weight of 24–39.5 grams (0.85–1.39 oz). Population of house sparrows is fast declining due to dangers posed to their survival by a host of factors including mobile phone towers, prompting a UK-based forum to enlist the tiny birds in the 'Red List' of endangered avian species'.
