Bill McKibben, Gus Speth, and Other Sit Before the White House Gates in Protest Against Tar Sands and Keystone XL

    WASHINGTON, DC-- People gathered in front of the White House to participate in the Civil Disobedience action on August 20th, 2011. The total number of arrests were 65 who are all being held overnight.

    From August 20th-September 3rd, hundreds of people are sitting-in at the White House to tell President Obama to reject the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. Visit www.tarsandsaction.org for more details.
