Bear walking in its enclosure

    Newer Older

The brown bear of the Amnéville zoo was walking in its enclosure making small rounds. I could take some pictures but any were really good. Well, this one is acceptable! :)

"his"! Or "her", maybe, or "their" if you're not sure, but please don't refer to animals as "it".

This is a good picture, but don't you think its sad that animals have to suffer in enclosed areas. Pacing back and forth, depressed. Nothing to hunt, nothing to play with. Watching people stare back at you taking humiliating pictures and thinking awesome that they get to live that way the rest of they're life.. No animal in the right nature, wolves for instance they travel thousands of miles to track down pray, get a work out and are busy all day. They have trees, water companionship with the crow. The crow teases wolves and play with wolves.. A wolf has a great relationship with crows. A wolf may be laying around and a crow lands and pecks some fur, the wolf jumps right up and goes for the pouncing and the crow flaps away and returns again for some teasing.. Do you thing that one of those animals is happy to be in that place? I would hate that!! would you love that? waking up to the same boring stuff everyday, no way out no accompany, no where to go, nothing to do.. think about it!! Even if the animal wouldn't survive back in the wild who cares if I were that bear enclosed I'd rather die in the wild than live in that place!! I am not saying release all the animals even if they may die, I am saying release the animals that can be into they're natural habitat and for the rest give them more space, as much as possible and more.. Don't make them suffer with having to see people everyday taking pictures of them, let them be.. Put real bait in there!! Don't be a puss, they can handle it, its nature, they can do it in the wild they can do it in captivity!! Most animals in captivity their lives are shortened to a higher degree than in the wild.. THink about it!! For the animals not humans sake. I'd like to see humans in cages and them being taken pictures for all they're lives.. See how that feels!!!
