This was shot under the dining room overhead light. I used a flashlight to accent the lighting during the 10 second exposure.

Yellow
[OPT] yellow, a color that distinguishes one in the solar spectrum between orange and green.
The wavelengths of light are yellow between 5 700 and 5 970 Å. Yellow is the color additive mixture of green and red, is color subtractive complementary blue. Absorbs blue but reflects or transmits the rest of the spectrum of white light. One of the three colors used in subtractive synthesis Tricromía.
Groc
The return of the yellow fields of oilseed rape to Dorset. Taken near Ryme Intrinseca. I may try another shot when the green has turned yellow and the tree has more leaves.
I watched two of these chase each other from tree to tree. They would not sit still for a second but finally with my lightning fast reflexes LOL I was able to get this shot.
THESE YELLOW GERBERAS WERE PRETTY. MY CANON 7D AND THE 100MM F/2.8 LENS CAPTURED EVERYTHING.
I TOOK OFF THE EXTENSION TUBES. THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO VIEWED, COMMENTED AND FAVED MY PHOTOS.

I didn't know what to put in the tittle.. so I put my favorite song tittle :D!
Yellow by Coldplay..
Have a nice day!
It's a bit hard to tell from the pic, but these are TINY little puffs of yellow. To put it into perspective, they're actually in a hanging pot on my friend's back deck, and I couldn't resist getting a few shots while we were bbq'ing to welcome in 2008.
The light wasn't very good, so I might go back and try again another day.
Yellow wildflower. I have these growing all over but this one caught my eye. The curling of the pedals reminded me of the Sun Plaques that were so popular a few years back

Took me about an hour of quietly sitting in this bird's hunting area before it was confident enough to grant me connection.
Thanks to Martyn William for his help in developing a good working technique for handholding the 300mm f/2.8 with the TC2.0 (600mm eqv) on the D810, and to Cris (cjkp1) for his continued encouragement. Thanks dudes.
For the technically ept: The Depth of Field here is about 40mm.
By the 18th century the worldwide love of roses was in full swing, but they were only then cultivated in shades of pink and white. Eventually, an elusive yellow rose was discovered growing wild in the Middle East, and the European love affair with yellow roses was born.
The early yellow rose lacked the sweet scent for which roses are famous, however as cultivation methods were developed and refined, the beloved sweet-and-spicy rose scent was soon introduced and the yellow rose achieved all of its optimistic and aromatic glory!
I've been noticing these yellow ladybugs on the lid of our recycling bin - never noticed yellow one's before (always thought they were only red), and strange that they seem 'attracted' to the yellow of the bin.
To get nice and close, I stacked a Hoya +10 close up filter with a Sigma AML-2 close up filter on my Sigma DP2 Merrill camera.
