There's a lot of yellow rapefield around here right now
If anyone should have the need of having their own rapefield
_
How you establish a good rape field
Rape should be sown at the right time of 3 cm in depth in a loose and moist soil. The soil must be removed for at least 20 cm. This ensures rapid creation and that the roots can get into the ground.
Rapeseed is grown for the production of animal feed, vegetable oil for human consumption, and biodiesel.
Rapeseed was the third leading source of vegetable oil in the world in 2000, after soybean and oil palm.

Beautiful yellow flower that looks like an explosion of color
The most important trait of this plant is its brilliant yellow flowers. These yellow blooms open giving a fun appearance to the flowers.
Female crab spiders have the ability to change color from white to yellow depending on the plant they are on. They favor goldenrod, but this little lady was enjoying lunch on a zinnia.
The front four legs are long and crab like and the back four are shorter and straight. She was sitting on her rear end munching down : )
'Yellow is spring, daffodils, sweeping fields of rapeseed blossom;
yellow is the warmth of the sun, the secrets of the moon;
yellow is gooey egg custard and bittersweet lemon;
yellow is sparkling and bright and joyous and peaceful.......
yellow is HOPE for the future!'

Phebalium stenophyllum - commonly known as Narrow-leafed Phebalium, a shrub which is endemic to Victoria and New South Wales. Grows to between 1 and 1.5 metres in height and produces clusters of starry yellow flowers in the spring - Maranoa Gardens, Native Botanic Garden, Balwyn.
This is Hat Creek. Ron and I stopped by on our way back from Crater Lake. A few spots had fantastic yellow leaves. This is one of those spots.
We parked near a fence that was holding back one very mean looking Rottweiler.
"I wonder if he bites?" I asked Ron.
"Probably, if you were on his side of the fence..." he said.
There were a few gaps under the fence that concerned me...but I figured as long as he didn't start to dig, we were fine.
I half expected, with my luck, to get done shooting and he'd be there, standing on our side of the fence...with that Rottweiler dog smile on his face, ready to eat us.
Then I'd have to take out Rons legs and run for my car. (Just kidding Ron)
A sea of yellow against a deep, cobalt blue background in Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Park. September 2, 2007.
“Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot; others transform a yellow spot into the sun.”

Another flower from our garden this spring. A vivid yellow Osteospermum, looking like a blazing sun.

I lay on my back with the sun in my eyes
Soon I shall know what no living man knows
All of my life's been a fight against lies
Death brings the truth, and it's my turn to know
Send my mother a lock of my hair
Send my father the watch that he gave me
Tell my brother to follow me if he dare
Tell them I'm lost now and no-one can save me
Remember Remember
Send my love little yellow roses
My father told me that all men are equal
Whatever colour, religion or land
He told me to fight for the things I believe in:
This I have done with a gun in my hand
Send my mother a lock of my hair
Send my father the watch that he gave me
Tell my brother to follow me if he dare
Tell them I'm lost now and no-one can save me
Remember Remember
Send my love little yellow roses
I met my love in a garden of roses
She pricked her finger - how sharp the thorn grows
We made a promise till death do part us
We'd never look on a wild yellow rose
Send my mother a lock of my hair
Send my father the watch that he gave me
Tell my brother to follow me if he dare
Tell them I'm lost now and no-one can save me
Remember Remember
Send my love little yellow roses...
