A repost from two years ago, my little girl Gwee, in front of the tree. Gosh, I miss that little one.
Sunrise on new years day 2015. A great pre-sunrise that fizzled to nothing, but a cracking way to start the year and break in a new lens.
May 2015 bring all you want and more.

What a difference a year makes. Exactly a year ago we had our heaviest snow fall for 20 years and it was bitterly cold. This morning the garden looks shiny very green with still odd flowers still out. I know which I prefer, I hope the only snow shots I post this winter will be from the archives. I know this is an heretical idea to the white stuff lovers....i am just a green man. I guess it does look quite nice clinging to the branches of our cherry tree
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT HAVE A GREAT DAY

Wow....what a storm that was on New Years. This image is from Slide Rock State Park in Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona. With snow up to my knee in places I'm guessing the canyon received 15-20 inches of the white stuff.
With good friend Guy Schmickle driving we caught a park ranger walking near the closed entry gate. He was kind enough to let us in for a bit New Years morning. With snow flakes still flying the sun broke out for a moment.

Exactly one year ago today Feb 2. my mother passed away. and one year prior to that my father passed away. They where married 63 years. They are now married for an eternity.
This picture is my gift to my mother because:
from the birds I can still hear you..
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
One of the first shot with my Nikon FE2...
A lot of years ago :)

Happy New Year for all of you my dear friends of Flickr and hope this year 2015 bring the Joy and the Happiness for all
Tomorrow is my 10 year anniversary!! Wow I feel old ;-) Actually I got married when I was 22 and I only knew my husband for 6 months before we got married, lol. I know everyone thought it wouldn't last but I guess we are proving them wrong. 10 years and 4 kids later! We are happier now then when we first got married.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend I won't be around flickr but I will around facebook and twitter :-)
facebook leave me a note so I know who you are :-)
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy and prosperous new year........Hugs.
The german market is back today!
I tried this shot last year in my 365 but I didn't have my tripod back then, and I didn't want to go back a second day to repeat the attempt.
I went properly armed today after scoping out a spot at lunchtime. (here is last years attempt www.flickr.com/photos/alexturton/6359152987/)

Happy New Year to all of my wonderful, awesome flickr friends. Hoping all your resolutions and wishes become a reality for you in 2011.
(A shot from this summer, I need to remember what warm sunny weather feels like.)
As the title suggests, 2 years have passed since my last visit to Ashton Windmill. A fantastic location I returned to last evening with Martin Turner and I was pleased to see the longer grass this time, makes for a more interesting foreground.
The sun flare on the left bouncing off the horses back was a total fluke, still I'm not complaining :)
One more in comments.

I joined flickr a year ago today with a photo of this letter box outside King's College, Cambridge. That first photo (see below) was Explored and was the commencement of quite a journey:-) I've had 176 photos Explored (whatever that's supposed to mean), almost 65,000 views (389,984 views aggregate), and, most of all, I've had immense fun here.
The greatest thing is to ENJOY photography. And I do try to be creative, informative and also add humour:-) I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their views, comments, faves, invites and testimonials.
This is a rare Victorian hexagonal letter box dating from 1866. That's Great St Mary's Church in the background.
It is my 2 years anniversery and felicia's second birthday today!
I actually totally forgot xD
I have now 8 dollies :)

Back in Sozopol 7 years later... and I barely managed to catch the sunset on my way to dinner in the Old Town. I don't remember ever shooting the sunset dressed up and without a tripod but it will have to do for today. Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my sporadic commenting these days... I'll have some catching-up to do when I return to the States. Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
THIS MY WISH FOR THE NEW YEAR:
may we recognise the real gold from the "false" appaerance..........
HUGS AND MUCH LOVE!
MUSIC FOR YOU:Giuseppe Tartini
Midas or King Midas (in Greek Μίδας) is popularly remembered in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold.
Midas rejoiced in his power, which he hastened to put to the test. He touched an oak twig and a stone; both turned to gold.
Overjoyed, as soon as he got home, he ordered the servants to set a feast on the table.
"So Midas, king of Lydia, swelled at first with pride when he found he could transform everything he touched to gold; but when he beheld his food grow rigid and his drink harden into golden ice then he understood that this gift was a bane and in his loathing for gold, cursed his prayer" (Claudian, In Rufinem). The accumulating years...and the accompanying sagging...must never prevent being colorful. Barn on Old Forge Road - Portage County, Ohio
We went there again, two years later. The dune is still here, slightly different, as is the way I looked at it.
Namib Naukluft nature Park, Sossusvlei, Namibia
Deux aprés, la dune est toujours là, à peine différente, tout comme mon regard.
Wishing you a Bright and Cheery New Year!
Thank You fro sharing your photographic talents this past year!
