This scooter has been so useful over the past two years. I've ridden it way more than I ever rode my motorcycle.

Lots and lots of scooters! Senri-Chou, Toyonaka-shi, Osaka. December 4, 2011.

Tien and I were walking to the bus today when we passed Golden Gate Cycles. There were several motorbikes parked outside, luring us in. So, we went in and looked around and rode off on a Yamaha Vino 125. I'd had my eye on them for a while, and $1000 off was a great deal, so what the heck? We scooted around town for a bit before picking up some Golden Boy Pizza, taking it to Savoy Tivoli and having pizza and a few drinks while listening to live jazz. Tien reacted badly to something she consumed, either the pizza or the half of a martini that she drank, and felt ill so we went home. It was a great day. :)

Tien and I chased down a train on the scooter so I could hurry to work this morning.

This scooter caught my eye on the way out from lunch. Not fun transportation in the rain I suspect, but sure looks nice, and probably had a much easier time finding parking downtown than I did.

Tien and I woke up to our brand new, less than 24 hours old scooter laying on the sidewalk with its front left blinker and rear brake handle broken off. Somebody must have tried to wheel it away it and then dropped it when they saw the lock on the back wheel. That was lame, but it didn't stop us from scooting around SF for most of the day before meeting up with my old friend Vince later that evening. We drank beers and talked about music long into the night.

After 8 years, some nice men took you away from me. You taught me how to be a man and gave me freedom and independence. You froze me in the winter and stung me in the face with rain drops, but I’ll always love you. Those 42,000 miles will never be forgotten. #yamahavino #scooter #scooters #halloween #movingon #gremlins #ghostbusters #horror #bambi

A slightly bigger scooter and months without riding meant it was a good idea for Tien to practice a little before taking the M1 test, even though she's been riding for over 10 years. Unfortunately the SF DMV closes off its parking lot in off-hours, so we couldn't just go over there and practice on the actual testing ground.

I came out and found that somebody had painted around my scooter.

This scooter is parked near my house. I walk past it every day.

I rode my scooter from Roanoke. This was about a 60 mile round trip
