This image will debut at WonderGround Gallery on July 20th. I'll be there from 5-7 PM. Come say hello. disneyparksmerchandise.com/events/artist-showcase-with-je...
I don't play the new Disney Infinity game but when I happened to spot a Vanellope at Target by chance and I couldn't resist picking her up.
Last one at the Disney store..i ended up asking and they said what's ever there is there, then i a manger passed and asked if she could help me and i told her that i was kinda disapointed since i was hoping to find a "Vanellope" and she ran in the back and she came out told me she had one on hold for over 2 week's they never showed..so she said "shes yours" i was so happy haha XD
Have a good one :)). I am in there somewhere beside little Vanellope. She reminds me of me - the only change I have made is her eyes are now blue ;). (I am told I quite often adopt that pose lol.)
"Vanellope von Schweetz: Hard Candy
"Known as "The Glitch", Vanellope is a pixelating programming mistake in the candy-coated cart-racing game, Sugar Rush. With a racer's spirit embedded in her coding, Vanellope is determined to earn her place in the starting lineup amongst the other racers. Only problem: The other racers don't want her or her glitching in the game. Years of rejection had left Vanellope with a wicked sense of humor and a razor-sharp tongue. However, somewhere beneath that hard shell is a sweet center just waiting to be revealed."
Final stage of my disassembly of LE Sgt. Calhoun. The last part I removed is the assault rifle, which was attached to the left forearm armour by a non-removable pin. I really wanted to remove the rifle, so I simply pulled on the rifle until the pin broke. It is a small short pin, and the break was clean, so I left it alone without attempting to cut of the remaining parts of the pin off. There was no damage to either the rifle or the armour, besides the broken pin. The other pieces of her body armor, on her arms and legs, do not seem to be removable without removing her hands and feet first, which I did not attempt to do. So this the end of my disassembly of the Sgt. I laid her down on her back, and placed the disassembled parts around her.
Her gloves, made of stretchy black cloth, and her combat boots, made of hard plastic, have been removed. She is free standing next to her boots.
Her pistol belt has been taken off. Now her upper body armour (chest, shoulder and back) have been removed. They were held together by pins, tabs and rubber bands. The shoulder strap for the assault rifle is passed through a closed loop at the top of her chest armour, but the strap is sewn together, so I had to remove the stitching on one end to free the strap from the armour. Her assault rifle is still attached to her left forearm armour plate by a non-removable plastic pin.
My 17'' Limited Edition Sergeant Calhoun doll is completely deboxed. I attempt to completely remove her outfit and accessories, which consists of armour over a body suit, a pistol and an assault rifle. Sgt. Calhoun is the leader of a band of space Marines in the Hero's Duty video arcade game, which is part of the Wreck-It Ralph animated movie.

Limited Edition: #175 of 1000
Released in stores and online November 2, 2012
Purchased in store on November 10, 2012.
I went to the Disney Store closest to home to buy Wreck-It Ralph merchandise, using the 25% off coupon that is good this weekend. To my surprise, they still had the Sgt. Calhoun LE 17'' doll on display. So I bought one of them, and will post photographs of her boxed, during deboxing, and finally fully deboxed. I will also attempt to remove her outfit.
Here is a group shot of my collection of Limited Edition 17'' Dolls released by the Disney Store. They are all fully deboxed, and are standing side by side in three tiers, supported by their included doll stands. I also include dolls that are not characters from Disney Princess movies, such as Sgt. Calhoun and China Girl. Some of these dolls were listed as 18 or 19 inches tall. All were purchased first hand by me, except for the first five dolls and the Harrods Anna and Elsa, who were purchased second hand but mint in box.
Here is a list of the dolls, with their movie and year of release of the doll.

First off, let me apologize for Ariel's hair, she's getting it done, but I plan on leaving the "curlers" in for at least a month to ensure that her hair will stay wavy. So, here is everyone I now own. I realized that the last time I took a photo of all my LE dolls was quite a while ago, so I figured it was time to take a new one since I've acquired quite a few new ones. ;) I was really lucky to recently get Calhoun for a great price on eBay, and even luckier to get Eric for my birthday. Of course, being me, I instantly had to wash and re-style both of them to tone down Eric's poofiness and to make Calhoun look more film accurate. Now I'm only missing Snow White to complete my collection of ones already released, but there will have to be a miracle for me to be able to get her since she's so expensive now. BUT I WILL GET HER! ;)

Saw Wreck-It Ralph this past weekend. Despite what you may think, I'm not much of a Disney movie guy. I love the classic Walt-era stuff, but beyond 1959 my interest in Disney's non-Pixar animation is very limited. However, I found Wreck-It Ralph quite enjoyable. This is in large part due to its affection for video games, a childhood staple of mine. The film is roughly like Toy Story but with video games rather than toys. It doesn't have quite the artistry and emotion of Pixar's finest, but it's still great in its own right with many genuinely funny moments (Sarah Silverman's character is a bit much at times, but otherwise everybody is likable). Most importantly the team behind very obviously "gets" video games and the film never comes off as pandering or out of touch. If you played video games in the 1980s or 1990s, you'll appreciate this film quite a bit.

This is from a shoot I did for John Lasseter's Disney Infinity announce presentation. I work at Avalanche Software, the developers as Infinity. I was the Toy Box team captain.
I got my first Racers today and at first, I thought they were great. The detail on the cars and figures is excellent. Then I opened them and neither figure fits very well into her car. You can shove Adora down in her seat, but that risks scraping paint off her hands. And Candlehead does not go any farther into hers than what you see in this photo. So when I tried the cars out and shot them across the floor, Candle popped out of hers.
They're very cute, but their play value is limited. I did order Crumbelina's tonight with my 25% off order, because I think her figure and car are particularly cute, but I'll be passing on everyone else's Racer.
Went to go see Wreck-it Ralph this past weekend loved it, loved Vanellope even more even if she is voiced by Sarah Silverman who I normally loathe.

The racers and cars have been deboxed, and the racers placed in the cockpits of the cars. Some of the racers fit better than other. For the most secure seating, their feet needed to be placed in the slot under the steering wheel. Taffyta didn't fit very snuggly in the cockpit, and Crumbellina had to be shoehorned in to the cockpit. King Candy was probably the best fitting driver. Snowanna was like a truck driver, with a very high seating position, and with a yoke rather than a steering wheel.
The cars have been placed in four rows of three, in the same order as they were placed in the stack of boxes, and as listed below.
The complete set of 12 Sugar Rush Racers, from Wreck-It Ralph, by the Disney Store. They are $9.50 each. They are based on characters from the Sugar Rush video arcade game in the Wreck-It Ralph animated movie. Each racing set consists of a 2'' figure and and a racing car. The figure fits in the cockpit of the car, and the car is driven with a plastic launch key. The main three characters of Sugar Rush, Vanellope, Taffyta and King Candy, are on the top row, and the rest of the racers are in alphabetical order. Here are their full names, and links to their product pages on the US Disney Store site:
My Vanellope Von Schweetz Talking 11'' Doll has been completely deboxed. She is free standing, and is photographed from various angles.
She is an accurate representation of one of the main characters of the newly released Disney animated feature Wreck-it Ralph. She is the ''Glitch'' of the Sugar Rush video arcade game, one of bunch of young girls competing to win a race in confectionery go karts. She speaks several phrases from the movie when her mid-section is pressed, in the voice of Sarah Silverman. The sound is loud and clear.
She is full poseable, with moveable head, arms and legs. Her head can swivel around 360 degrees, but cannot tilt up or down. She has fully articulated shoulder, elbow and wrist joints, so her short arms are surprisingly poseable. She only has four fingers in of her rather large hands. She has no knee or ankle joints, and no toes on her flat stumpy feet. She is fairly stable free standing, but her loose hip joints and very heavy head make her topple over with just a light nudge. She cannot sit down on her own without support from behind, because her legs don’t quite bend 90 degrees, and her head is very heavy and unbalanced towards the back.
She has a very large head for an 11’’ doll, which matches her movie character. She has very large bright brown eyes, glancing to her right. She has thick black eyebrows, and short thin eyelashes over each eye. She has a small button nose that is colored the same bright pink color as her lips. Her mouth has thin lips forming a toothy smile. She has protruding big round ears.
Her long straight jet black hair is in a pony tail that has been bunched up at the top of her head, and tied with a red licorice ribbon. There are two candy covered hairpins in either side of her head. There are two long bangs on the right side of her head, and two short pig tails over her ears. There is a lot of hair product used to keep her bangs and pony tail bun in place. Otherwise, her hair is soft and smooth.
Her outfit is entirely removable. She has a blue-green hooded sweater that is covered in glitter, and has two non-functioning pink drawstrings in the front. She has a short pleated dark brown skirt, over blue-green and white striped stretch pants. Finally she has black flat-heeled shoes, with a swirling pink stringy pattern on their soles.
