Lockington church outstanding in the mist

I was climbing Seaford Head to shoot the remainder of the sunset, when I stumbled on this guy sitting on a bench. It looked like he was praying to the sun.

This is hand held and it was a bit breezy (windy) so it's a little soft in the focus department - sorry. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :P

Joshua Tree National Park

A promising sky this morning, so headed out to the coast. I had never been to Felixstowe before so as the sky started performing I had a bit of a mad dash trying to find somewhere to get a decent composition. This was shot using the Lee Little Stopper agian, which I must say I am really enjoying using.

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.

Church of all nations (basilica of Agony), Jerusalem

UNITEN Mosque, Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia.

There's a place I have found where mortal words have no meaning.

There's a desert I have seen where just a glance unfolds the secrets of this life. And all that went before it.

There's a mountain I have climbed which is a shining pathway to that distant fiery orb. And all its light and heat merge into the passion in your eyes.

There's a river I have crossed whose ancient rhythm sways you into dreams that last forever. And every awakening is the beginning of another dream.

There's a temple in a faraway land in which the gods are not seen. Nor heard.

And I have worshipped the thought of you.

It's as good a thing to worship as any, and if you don't there are no negative consequences.

“When he shall die,

Take him and cut him out in little stars,

And he will make the face of heaven so fine

That all the world will be in love with night

And pay no worship to the garish sun.”

One of my favorite quotes from Shakespeare (Romeo and Juliet).

New on Promoting Passion <3

Incense stick is having its own importance in worshipping the God. Its not only in India but across the world. People usually burn it in front of the God's idol and pray for his wellness and growth.

The picture is portraying a female holding an burning incense stick. The smoke coming out of it, as if his worships and emotions are taking a form.

Whatever is being worshipped in this place, it does not have goodness at its core.

Prayer or worship is considered to be an integral part of the Hindu way of living. The chanting of mantras is the most popular form of worship in Hinduism.

The Hindu devotional Bhakti movements emphasizes repetitive prayer. Stemming from the universal Soul or Brahman, prayer is focused on the personal forms of God, such as Shiva, Vishnu, or Vishnu's avatars, Rama and Krishna.

Before the process of ritual, before the invoking of different deities for the fulfillment of various needs, came the human aspiration to the highest truth, the foundational monism of Hinduism, pertaining ultimately to the one Brahman. Brahman, which summarily can be called the unknowable, true, infinite and blissful Divine Ground, is the source and being of all existence from which the cosmos springs. This is the essence of the Vedic system. The following prayer was part and parcel of all the Vedic ceremonies and continues to be invoked even today in Hindu temples all over India and other countries around the world.
