I love this misty light in the woods, and enjoyed the wide view to which my camera was set (unbeknown to me). But this shape is sometimes awkward, so I tried a more usual one (below)--- but somehow it didn't ring my bell. What do you think?

Birch bark will outlast the fallen tree it surrounds and makes the best firestarter. It burns when wet.

A wander through the woods at Castle Loch, Lochmaben. The mist drifting through the trees creating a wee bit of atmosphere.

cold foggy wet conditions..

Thanks for all your comments on my previous upload. This time shooting directly into the sun caused a radial oncoming shadow effect from the trees.

Taken just as the sun broke through quite a thick mist, the lovely colours and misty atmosphere made this simple woodland scene a bit special.

Our campsite last weekend was next to a bluebell wood, and although the bluebells were mostly past their best, they were still such a pretty sight.

This is the way I was heading.. but stopped just on the left.. to take a couple of shots.. The other way..

Have a great day.. thanks for looking

Flickers of sunshine in the Bushy Park woodland.

Another shot from my archives with colour editing in Lightroom .

Sunlight floods the wood with amazing dappled light as I follow a well made track through Great Wood, Hambleden.

I was looking for some Autumnal scenes and I came across this scene.

one of the walks I'm lucky to be able to take during my lunch break at work

I'm becoming increasingly fascinated with the light and shadow play in the forest.

One from my archives taken back in 2008 how time flies I remember this morning well I took hundreds of this woodland in the fog with the sun burning through!

Managed to get out this morning with my camera. The first time for many weeks due to a serious infection which was presented to me by our local hospital while in there for a total hip replacement. These days folk seem to come out of modern hospitals with more than they went in with! Just my luck to join them!
