Moss Valley woods .... March 2016

After what can only be described as an adventurous clamber down to get to this vantage point I managed to perch long enough to take this before slipping into the water :-)

Searching for a composition on a forestis quite interesting!

A local woodland - I love to visit, especially in Spring with the lush greenery, and when Trillium are in bloom, and in the Autumn colour and falling leaves.

Challenge Theme: A place I love.

Thank you all for your views, favs and kind comments, it is very much appreciated.

We don't get many days with fog or mist all day - and it was a great opportunity for a few photos.

Our woodlands are full of spring greens:)

Trillium (wild flower) blooms in the spring. The white Trillium is the Provincial flower of Ontario.

It was very exciting to come across this woodland with Trillium's in bloom. I had never seen so many growing and blooming in one place before.

Part of the Dudmaston Estate.

Dudmaston Estate is a beautiful National Trust property situated approxmiately 3 miles outside of Bridgnorth in Shropshire.

Dudmaston Hall, an 17th manor house is still very much today a family home, but with a surprise up its sleeve as although you will find some of the rooms expected in a house of this type, it also houses an important modern art collection assembled by Sir George Labouchere during his travels as an Ambassador to Spain.

The gardens are maginifcent with beautiful lakeside vistas leading the eye across the Shropshire countryside and a walk through the Dingle is a must.

The beautiful and elusive Woodland Kingfisher is also known around here as the Rapper of the Woodlands as his song consists of a laugh-like, high staccato intro, descending into machine-gun trills and loud raucous chirping. Particularly vocal this time of the year. You may call it the Lowveld's summer-song.

Baddesley Clinton is a moated manor house, situated about 8 miles north-west of the town of Warwick in Warwickshire, England. The house probably originated in the 13th century, when large areas of the Forest of Arden were cleared for farmland. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and the house is a Grade I listed building.

Taken in the Woodland at Baddesley Clinton.

The Labyrinth is a new event, managed by my dear friend Divine Paine.

Part of the Winter Garden at Anglesey Abbey, near Cambridge.

Out looking for some local autumnal scenes nr Herriard the other day and came across this woodland path/track between the boundaries of some fields.

Your grasses up north are as blue as jade,

Our mulberries here curve green-threaded branches;

And at last you think of returning home,

Now when my heart is almost broken....

O breeze of the spring, since I dare not know you,

Why part the silk curtains by my bed?

Winter is still holding on and snow is forecast (again). Therefore looking forward to warmer days and the glory that is Springtime.
