Wood duck close to Mandarin duck, for me it's looks the same, but wood duck live in North Amercian. Mandarin Duck in Asian China of course. 北美鴛鴦應該和中國的鴛鴦屬于同種，有細小的差別，不是動物學家，就都算作鴛鴦吧！
A new day begins...
Sorry for me being absent! A project calculated to be a few weeks of evening work showed to be more like half a year fulltime project! Which ofcourse isn´t bad at all....if it wasn´t for the fact there are a deadline in late may ;)
On the edge of the forest, thick Silver Birch hold hands.
Together they make sure there is no gate, no way in to a secret land.

Again, nature pulls out an impossible paintbrush on a hunk of wood that may have simply been living through the extremities of Midwest climate resting on a beach over the last 10 - 100 years.
Deep in Lost Valley in the Buffalo River National Forest of the Ozarks region . . . basically a point and shoot photo, and as great as our little Sony and its lenses, no way could a camera record the amazing colour hues throughout the forest. . .
I found this beautiful little red barn surrounded by these amazing trees the other day and I'm so glad I stopped!

A few days ago I was able to take a walk in the usual places.
Usually November was raining hard all day, but this year I was able to capture the moment when the trees are all different
There are evergreens or ivy attached to them, there are bare trees and there are incredible yellow trees.
The ground is covered with orange leaves and the scenery becomes extraordinary....
Image and texture are mine
Thanks for your recent visits, favorites, comments and invitations. I go slow, but everything is very much appreciated, as always....

Virtually every single day, Blanca and I walk on one beach or another, sometimes twice a day. That fact doesn't diminish in the slightest the excitement I feel when exploring a new trail to a new beach. The cliff-hugging coastal woods with their evergreen trees are incredibly dark and spooky, and so it's all the more thrilling when you approach the edge where the light starts streaming in from the open sea and you hear the waves crashing!
Wood Duck (m) in fall water reflection. I have done quite a lot of these in the last few weeks.... more to come :-)
