4/15/10 The name of this wildflower is "Lupine" or "Texas bluebonnet" (thank you eahNC). The orange flowers in the background are California poppies (our state flower).
Accidental bokeh. I was actually focusing on the bigger ones but the camera wouldn't let me. The more I look at it, the more I like it especially with the ferns.
Wildflowers in the park out by Memorial and the Beltway. The whole side lawn was a sea of Indian Blankets with some other colors.
They are sharing the same part of the yard with my wild buttercups, but they are larger and what an exquisite color!
