These wildflowers bloom in the Fall out here in See Canyon. Using a fairly wide aperture (F5) the light in the forest became bokehs.

Lupine and other wildflowers cover the slopes of Sahale Arm above Cascades Pass high in Washington's North Cascades National Park.
The areas beyond the water way on either side of Spillway Trail at Brazos Bend State Park is ablaze with beautiful yellow wildflowers. I believe these wildflowers to be Cut Leaf Groundsel. If incorrect, please let me know! Also, I would like the correct identification of these trees.

A little color for January. I took this shot of tiny Jamaican wildflowers while hiking to a waterfall on the northeast coast.
Wildflowers at the park, beside the lake.
Posted for Smile on Saturday, Wildflowers theme. Hope it makes you smile. :-)
Another peek at some of the wildflowers above and around the falls
Hope you all have a great weekend coming up.
Tiny wildflowers, daisy fleabane, here at home. The blooms at their peak are less than half an inch.

Had a wonderful and relaxing 4 days on the coast. We took several walks along the ocean and there were tons of wildflowers in bloom. This was one of my favorites. Might be some sort of lupine, but I'm not sure.
Only cropped in Picnik, but no other editing.....
Here's something a bit different from American Basin that was taken the same morning as my previous post. This was shot looking towards the other end of the basin when some exquisite morning light was hitting those peaks. I found this gorgeous collection of King's Crown wildflowers backed by a stand of Larkspur and Bluebells to complete my composition.

From the trailhead of a wildflower trail (my previous post), Gothic Mountain is to the left, Crested Butte is in the distance (center) and Whetstone Mountain is in the distance to the right. All three mountains are between 12,000 and 13,000 feet.
The town of Crested Butte has proclaimed itself the wildflower capital of Colorado, and celebrates with an annual wildflower festival.
An outtake from last spring. I look forward to the return of the wildflowers. Only about a month away!
not to far from my house is a road called "shell creek road". It is one of those magical places that every year prove that death & dearth are always overcome by life and beauty!
It just absolutely doesn't get any prettier than this. I discovered this field in West Marin, covered in California poppies, lupine, and numerous other wildflowers.

"Wildflowers", with its mossy roof and forested location, is a unique gardening supplier in Northern Michigan. The bushes and flowers, both native species and hybrid varieties are naturalized amid the property, so that walking through the colorful, shaded property is as much a nature walk as it is a shopping trip!
It's located on Glen Lake Road (M-22) in Glen Arbor, Michigan.

I was going through a ton of photos I took in 2013 and I came upon my Colorado wildflower set and it really made me pause about how beautiful this area was.
So guess what ... I'll be returning to this Colorado wildflower rich site again this year after I complete my two Jackson Hole, Wyoming back-to-back weekend mid-June wildflower photo shoot adventures.
While here last year, I scouted out a lot of wildflower sites in this area of Colorado and will expand that area this year.
So in 2015 I will be leading a three day photo shoot adventure / tour and night sky/Milky Way workshop in this area of Colorado and will have my photo shoot info brochure available after I complete my second trip here this year.

Wildflowers in Jackson Hole, WY
In the Tetons in June and want to attend my spring wildflower and/or Teton Milky Way workshops while there? Just send me a private message or better yet message me on Facebook. Don't miss a great photo opportunity here.
Remember, if you arrive in Jackson Hole before mid-June, you will totally miss the height of the wildflowers. Check my JH wildflower set for examples of where I will take my workshop attendees.
