I am not that happy with it. But I'll try again.

Taken with my wideangle 10-22 canon lense - have been trying to sort out my photos and get them in some sort of order and I came across this photo that I was not to hot on originally..... hmmm I quite like it now. Women!!!

Wast Water or Wastwater is a lake located in Wasdale England, a valley in the western part of the Lake District National Park, England. The lake is almost 3 miles long (4.6 km) and more than a third of a mile (600 m) wide. It is the deepest lake in England at 258 feet (79 m), and is owned by the National Trust. It is one of the finest examples of a glacially 'over-deepened' valley. The surface of the lake is about 200 feet above sea level, while its bottom is over 50 feet below sea level.

This is when you wish you had a video camera.

I had to almost lie down on the floor and still could not get the complete circle in frame at 12 mm FL on APS-C.

First sighted in 2008, she has come on an irregular basis to Garden Eel Cove to feed and be cleaned. She is a beautiful female with the one scar on her right wing that is healing nicely. I think it was from fishing line.

Kept meaning to have a go at this before but never felt comfortable using the self timer on a street like this. Different style edit to my usual ones, thought I'd have a go being as city photos aren't really my forte either. On another note, impressed with how good this lens is at f/22, definitely usable.

I was out shopping in one of the "big box" warehouse stores and was just feeling overwhelmed by the sheer scale of it. So I grabbed my camera and tried to give a sense of that feeling. The lighting wasn't great ... so the clarity and detail suffer. Maybe another time I'll do it justice.

A nod to Jovani, whose shopping cart photo made me realize that even shopping carts want to be in pictures.

The sky was pretty amazing that night.

A different view of her flying by.

The camera was a little too far away for comfort for this I have to admit - probably about 3 minutes walk/climb away - on an equally precarious pinnacle

This rainbow was stunning. I don't think I've ever seen the whole of a double rainbow. Yes, I did miss the most intense seconds of colour while changing lenses in the rain, but I still felt excited by what I had shot.

But the wideangle has brought me down to earth with a bump, and the rainbow looks like a soap bubble over the campaigning narrow boats.

Here is a larger version.

And below is a shot taken before I changed to the wide angle -- just to show there were rainbow colours.

Part of the problem is what the wideangle does to scale. But there may something else I could do to pass on the amazing sight.
