Don't lie down in a patch of thistles and weeds....spoken from experience!! Spent the next 20 minutes after this shot pulling out all those clingy bits that latched onto my clothing. Have a mighty fine weekend everyone!!
All of my patio's flowers were dead already in September, but the tough weeds survived and still are now.
Whilst at Rutland Water last weekend watching the ospreys I finally saw the grebes do their weed dance. It was brilliant! Shame it was overcast at the time but you can't have everything.
Here is another attempt at painting with the background. I fell in love with this weed in my garden. Rather then pluck the little bugger out I thought I'd try to find the beauty in it...after all what really determines what is a weed and what is a flower? If we can find beauty in a weed, does that make it a flower? Not trying to wax poetic, just trying to decide wether or not to pull this little guy.
Be darned if I know what these seeds are from. Weeds, but maybe not under different circumstances, grown from seeds dropped or rejected by birds at the feeder.
Found this weed flower next to a lake. I did wanted to do a macro but with my 100-400 in bag there is no space for other lens and i had to attempt it using 100-400L.
Why do we have to keep so many lens :(
Just playing around with some old images from Hawaii............................I really miss that place, weeds (not weed - lol) and all!
"Weed with Pastel" - An unknown weed or grass with a pastel inspiration.
I know that a lot of people do not like lawn weeds. I kind of think that they are the most interesting part of the grass.
Can a weed be art? I applied an oil painting filter in Topaz to the original image. Thanks for stopping by. All comments are very much appreciated.
"But a weed is simply a plant that wants to grow where people want something else. In blaming nature, people mistake the culprit. Weeds are people's idea, not nature's."

it is hard to capture this one keeping still... :)
Found this growing on a patch of dry dirt under a highway pillar. Beauty can be found in ugly places. I saw people wondering what I was seeing but I just loved the lines and the contrast.
