Art without name against sky without cloud on mound without shade in park without seating

Former SA Water office location cleared and landscaped for run off water capture and amenity. I like what they've done though and no doubt signage, benches and shade will follow.

Today's Random Fact: February 3, 2009

My favorite Tarot deck and the book, "The Hidden Messages in Water", by Masaru Emoto, have changed the way that I view the power of water, and the effects that our words, our attitudes, and our intentions have on, not only ourselves, but on those with whom we interact. This book really was an exciting and eye-opening experience for me. The beautiful pictures and the expressions from which they are formed are nothing short of magical!

"I always stress that energy is vibrations and vibrations are life. Words are vibrations. Words, therefore, are life. Water is a medium that receives and understands even the subtlest vibrations. Water captures vibrations naturally. Even when these vibrations are in characters or letters representing language, water shows us the energy they contain in the forms of crystals. Water is attempting to communicate something to us. Negative emotions prevent the water from crystallizing. Positive emotions allow it to develop in beautiful hexagonal shapes."

"Water makes up 70% of our bodies, and there is little doubt to me that the information in the water goes a long way in the formation of our health as well as our attitude toward the world and the attitude of the world toward us."

-Masaru Emoto, The Hidden Messages in Water

NJ Pinebarrens Sunrise.

Overcast morning with heavy cloud cover. Sun peeked out for less than 2 minutes, its light reflecting off the bog water, captured this somewhere in that timeframe.

Added a touch of a film effect here (Fuji Provia) to add a little more mood to the scene; but other than that, and some light highlight work, this was what the camera saw.

Hope you like it Tom. Thanks for the ongoing support.

In the large sizes you can better see the young fisherman out at the lake trying to catch a fish before breakfast...the sunrise is filtering through the morning mist and reflecting on the lake where a few ducks are having an early morning swim...the dew on the grass is also getting some spotlighted attention from the early morning sunrays!!!

Hong Kong has several water capture reservoirs to supply the city with fresh water. Most of them are man made. At the end of the summer this one was almost empty and places that normally would be under water were exposed and made an interesting subject.....

Today I am starting a series of waterfall and water captures from Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou province, China

Of all the photos I took of the falls, this one I tresure the most.

I've been rather interested lately in water--capturing it at different speeds, seeing how multiple exposures and/or HDR works with water. I've found some cool results so far, some not so good. Trial and error. That rock on the right wasn't blurred until I got done processing the photo . . . unintentional, but I think the blur flows with the water.

HDR

A stunning arrangement of rocks, colour and flowing water. Captured before the sun was high in the sky to avoid any harsh highlights etc :)

I prefer the natural look of the water captured in motion rather than psuedo falls that has been doctored to look smooth. Each to their own.

this was taken outside our local garden centre its one of the largest in the country........i couldnt resist taking pictures of the huge 20 ft fountain sparkling in the warm sunshine
