moose walking in snow on Senja (Norway)
Usually the moose in the north of Norway are quite shy. But this year was crazy. On some days we have seen up to 14 animals. We could approach the animals up to a few meters and watch them and take pictures. A great experience.
...it's impossible to resist feeling good when walking among the quaking yellow, orange and red colors, lit by warm sunshine and fanned by a gentle mountain breeze.
Shot taken at Mountain Palace fishing access along the Missouri River about one week after the previous post.

It's the 21st of July and it's summertime. Tomorrow is my last day in school before the summer holidays begin. But it's rainy and cold like in autumn and this morning it was even foggy. No weather to be in a good mood or to take photos without an underwater camera :).
In the afternoon the sun suddenly came into sight for a while. I wanted to use this time to take some photos of these flowers before the dark clouds would arrive again. :)
The walkway you see there is over a marsh, you can smell the gas escaping the soil, it really stink when you walk there, usually daughters don`t event want to step on it.
I took this shot facing the sun with my old 70-210mm, I was testing the range before buying a 70-200f2.8.
I totally forgot about this shot untill I saw the brother in law using is for his Iphone background.

i had loads of faves on this but put it in a private set for family and when i unprivatised it all faves and interestingness disappeared - even though it was in a public set as well - apparently this happens - grrrr - there are so many things about flickr i dont understand

A wonderful winter walk in Arches National Park. It was cold ... but oh the pristine beauty of the contrasts in color. The walk back to the Devil's Thumb.
