RLHH 3049, RLHH 3404 and RLHH 3403 blast through Cainsville light power as they head for Garnet yard. There the crew will swap power with the yard crew there and return to Hamilton with CEFX 2015, CEFX 2006 and possibly RLK 3873 or QGRY 2301. This marks the new G&W era on the SOR ending the reign of the GP20D's.

For now the NS line through the Shenandoah Valley remains relatively untouched as far as new signal work. The N&W-era signal system still governs movements along the line between Front Royal and Roanoke.

NYS&W Alco 2002 leads a southbound past the DL&W era derail post and onto the light rail of the Richfield Springs branch at Richfield Jct. This four car special ran the entire line tracing the original Utica Chenengo and Susquehanna Valley railroad out to Richfield Springs and back.. Cassvville NY.
