Beauty is a precious trace that eternity causes to appear to us and that it takes away from us. A manifestation of eternity, and a sign of death as well. --Eugene Ionesco

Murals as National Art & Narrativity without Narratives

Between 1920 and 1950 mural painting, both in the classical form of frescoes as well as of oil painting on panels, which are applied to walls in a way to form a mural, experiences a golden age in Norway.

" The Nation at Work and Play "

Strong Pictorial Narratives easily decoded in term of ideology, culture, society and history reached a colouristic strength even stronger than Piero della Francesca's and Giotto's artworks.

Gigantic Architectonic Painting or Pictorial Architecture between Modernism and Renaissance Art painted with the deepest delight.

We are in the labour-social-democratic Norway, a newly-born nation where the production of public goods is given the highest rank. After the 1950s, this rich tradition had led Norwegian frescos across the world and up to the meeting room of the Security Council of the United Nations, with a fresco by Per Krohg.

Artist's Drive rises up to the top of an alluvial fan fed by a deep canyon cut into the Black Mountains. Artist's Palette is on the face of the Black Mountains and is noted for having various colors of rock. These colors are caused by the oxidation of different metals (red, pink and yellow is from iron salts, green is from decomposing tuff-derived mica, and manganese produces the purple).

Called the Artist Drive Formation, the rock unit provides evidence for one of the Death Valley area's most violently explosive volcanic periods. The Miocene-aged formation is made up of cemented gravel, playa deposits, and much volcanic debris, perhaps 5,000 feet (1500 m) thick. Chemical weathering and hydrothermal alteration are also responsible for the variety of colors displayed in the Artist Drive Formation and nearby exposures of the Furnace Creek Formation. Artist's Palette as seen from Artist's Drive. Note the different colors of green, yellow, blue and pink at the base of the mountain that resembles an artist's palette.

A visual image that are superficially attractive and entertaining but intellectually undemanding. Maybe... ;)

On a sunny Denver afternoon, the bricks are alive with such

color that it really is a feast for the eyes.

Traveling 179ft. below sea level is such an exhilarating experience!

Jumbie is a visual feast of color, surrealism and zeitgeist symbolism and more! This is Jumbie from Kentucky!

The streets of Cebu and full of energy, rapid movement, vibrant colors, the scent of street foods as well as an occasional still body sleeping the heat or something else off along the sidewalk.

Grand Central Station in New York city is a visual feast.
