Not much time to go out but never really got the nerve to take pictures in the casino area which I am told is allowed but frowned upon. It is not the frowning that worried me, I just felt funny going around with a camera not being a real photographer and all.

- warmed with bodyheat upon ejection, hence darker tones.

The historic three: Blue Angel, Vegas, and Par-A-Dice motels are all now closed. Demolition begins December 19, 2011. All three motels sit at a main intersection of Charleston Blvd., Eastern Avenue, and Fremont Street. A developer has come into the picture looking to continue Vegas' wrecking ball trend of destroying history rather than giving it a face-life and preserving it.
The good news is that the fantastic Blue Angel designed by Betty Willis will be saved and placed atop the new 'welcome to downtown' sign that will stand at the corner where all 3 streets meet. The Vegas Motel & Par-A-Dice motel signage will also be spared, thankfully.
Took this photo from stratosphere casino. Overlooks the strip. This is the second photo of the series. I believe I posted the first one few years back (blood moon over vegas) and that was entirely panorama. This one is lot more cropped.
