Tropical depression Ike hits the garden in St. Louis.

Calvert Street, Charles Village? Station North?

The first of what I hope will be a giant canopy of yellow roses covering the top of our pergola.

I love this "waterfall"

So...being impatient and all since the corn seeds I planted yesterday didn't sprout, I just bought more corn. But this is called "Honey & Cream". Apparently, it's yellow with white kernels sprinkled about. You know what? That's pretty fantastic.

Alton Brown says pumpkins don't grow on trees. These guys do. Lakewood, Ohio.

I noticed these brand new crocus--croci?crocuses?-- sprouting in a neighbors yard this morning, while crouched down cleaning up after Bub. Lovely.

The community garden I belong to. My plot is behind this giant mass of tomato.

The trellis was also picked up in the street last year. We intend to use hooks to increase the growing space. Also shows the retractable washing line (no tumble dryer!).

The residents of this apartment have placed a row of flower pots along the entire length of their patio. The pots are just sitting on the narrow patio railing. The apartment is high up and exposed to the elements. I'll be curious to see if the wind and rain of autumn upset this resident's effort at urban gardening.

Yep, it is warm enough. I have just finished pruning the moringa trees back to about 5-6 ft tall, per request from my hubby. So they don't run into the branches when walking around the front yard.
